A Great Need

Countless passages throughout Scripture illuminate our calling to help the poor and fatherless in any way we can. A roof overhead and a full tummy can feel like a little piece of heaven to these orphans, and you can help make those basic necessities a reality. Please consider these verses and ask God what part you will play in the lives of these precious children:

1 Samuel 2:7-9, NIV
[The Lord] raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; he seats them with princes and has them inherit a throne of honor. For the foundations of the earth are the LORD’s; on them he has set the world.

Psalm 82:3, NIV
Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.

Psalm 41:1-2, NLT
Oh, the joys of those who are kind to the poor! The Lord rescues them when they are in trouble. The Lord protects them and keeps them alive. He gives them prosperity in the land and rescues them from their enemies.
